M.Sc. Program (Environmental Biology) (International Program)
Admission Requirements:
- Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree in biological science or related subjects.
- Receive a cumulative GPA of at least 2.50.
- Exceptions to the above may be made by the Program Committee and the Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies
Duration of Study:
The duration of study must not exceed 5 academic years.
- Required Courses 11 credits
- Elective Courses 13 credits
- Thesis 12 credits
- Total not less than 36 credits
Graduation Requirements:
Students must complete course requirements in accordance with the curriculum.
- Have a GPA not less than 3.00.
- Pass the English Proficiency Examination offered by the School of Graduate Studies or have a TOEFL score of more than 500.
- Pass the Master’s thesis oral defense.
Ph.D. Program (Biology) (International Program)
Admission Requirements:
- Students must hold a Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree in biological science or related subjects.
- Receive a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50
- Pass the English Examination with a TOEFL score of 500 or more.
- Exceptions to the above may be made by the Program Committee and the Dean of Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Graduation Requirements:
Students must complete course requirements in accordance with the curriculum.
- Students must complete course requirements in accordance with the curriculum.
- Take no less than 28 credits of course work and 48 credits of thesis total credits for the program of not less than 76 credits, with GPA not less than 3.00 for students holding a Bachelor’s degree.
- Take no less than 12 credits of course work and 36 credits of thesis, total credits for the program not less than 48. The GPA is not less than 3.00 for students holding a Master’s degree.
- Pass preliminary and qualifying exams.
- Pass the English Proficiency Examination offered by the School of Graduate Studies or have a TOEFL score of more than 500.
- Pass the Ph.D. thesis oral examination.

- Lectures or discussions of 15 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour.
- Laboratory or practicals of 30 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour.
- Field study of 45 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour.
- The thesis of 45 hours per semester is equal to 1 credit hour.
